Not sure which Coupling kit you require?
3.5T or 5T” COUPLING?
It depends on the total weight of the load you are wishing to tow. Our 3.5T coupling has a towing capacity of 3.5 tonne, and our 5T coupling has a towing capacity of 5 tonne. Obviously your towing vehicle and tow bar tongue must also be rated for the intended load.
7/8” or 1.25” TOW-PILLAR?
Order the shank diameter that matches the ball-mount hole in your tow-bar tongue or weight distribution head (WDH). A standard 2" (50mm) tow ball has a 7/8” (22mm) diameter shank. Larger towballs commonly have a 1.25” (32mm) diameter shank. We also make Andersen pillars if you are running an Andersen weight distribution system.
Is my tow tongue suitable?
Hitch-Ezy is compatible with most tow bars and weight distribution systems. Check there is no obstruction within a 3" (75mm) radius of the centre of the ball mount hole. This ensures the coupling can rotate fully left or right to jackknife position.

HZY-048
Our Aluminium cover keeps grease on the tow-pillar free of contaminants whenever the van/trailer is disconnected from the towing vehicle. The cover also stops grease on the pillar transferring onto your clothing.
When the coupling is connected the greasy dummy pillar is stored inside the cover which in turn can be stored without transferring grease to other areas.
This cover is suitable for both our 7/8” and 1.25” shank tow-pillar.

Our dummy tow-pillar is inserted into the coupling to keep it free of contaminants whenever the van/trailer is disconnected from the towing vehicle.
The dummy tow-pillar can be padlocked inside the coupling for security.
When not in use the dummy tow-pillar is stored inside the aluminium cover, thereby providing a grease free object for storage until next required.

Our unique patented tow-pillar design guarantees easy and secure connection plus uncoupling that is always hassle free regardless of any angle or residual load, forwards backwards or sideways, between the towed and towing vehicles.
The diameter of Hitch-Ezy's tow-pillar head (55mm) is much larger than its competitors and this ensures that it is easier to engage the coupling on it by either a "drop on" or "back into" technique. The coupling has excellent self-cantering characteristics on the tow-pillar.
The 7/8” diameter shank tow-pillar suits tow bar tongues with a 7/8” diameter ball-mount hole.
Pillars are supplied with a spacer element for use when mounting on a weight distribution head.

This Andersen tow-pillar is specific, AND ONLY SUITABLE for those customers running an Andersen weight distribution system. Our Andersen pillars are the current Andersen design with a base diameter of 45.8mm. Earlier Andersen systems may have a different pillar taper. Please confirm your Andersen system is the current design before purchasing.

Our Hitch-Ezy Assistance tool and hold-unlocked-pin which is attached by a short cord, enables hands free uncoupling.
Most customers can easily turn the rotating lid without the tool.
Customers suffering from severe arthritis will find the tool invaluable.

Stainless steel is a suitable material to interpose between the alloy body of the coupling above and a galvanised draw-bar below. Lesser materials would predispose to galvanic corrosion.
